Hello, thanks for stopping by! I'm Sandra, and i'm the owner of this little art shop. I'm Canadian and from Toronto, Canada, which is where I currently reside.
My love of art started a little later in life than most artists. I took my very first Art History class in my freshman year of uni, absolutely fell in love with it and chose it as my major. The summer after I graduated, I lived in London, UK where I studied the art market, took the tube, and visited a million art galleries. Later that winter, I moved to Venice, Italy, where I interned at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection for three months and became immersed in Modern masterpieces and gelato. My time in Venice led me straight to New York where I lived, studied, and worked up until the pandemic hit.
When the lockdown first began, I had to unexpectedly return home to Canada. I was unemployed and going through a quarter-life crisis. I had spent the past 8 years of my life studying art, appreciating it, and learning about the art market. The one thing that I had not done yet was actually MAKE art; so I turned to drawing. Drawing was the one thing during quarantine that helped to ease my anxiety and bring me genuine joy. So I opened my little shop on a whim, and the rest is history.
Art has taken me to some of the most amazing cities in the world, but Toronto has always been home for me. So after all this time away, i've finally returned home and I get to make art to share with all of you! Thank you so much for your love and support!
